Specialist Flooring Systems — Evolution Projects

We select the flooring system appropriate to each project according to the nature of its use, the volume of daily traffic, the anticipated loads, the safety and hygiene requirements, and the environmental and operating conditions of the site. We also give particular attention to inspecting and preparing the sub-layers, treating damp and cracks and setting out levels, because these represent the real foundation of the system's quality and durability.

Our services cover sports, industrial, hygienic, decorative and external flooring, in addition to repair, renewal and refurbishment works, using materials and systems approved by trusted suppliers and manufacturers — among them STOCKMEIER Urethanes, EPI Group and Duayen.

Flooring solutions designed to perform, and executed to last.

Our method

Trusted, certified, and executed with care

Flooring is not merely a final layer; it is a fundamental element affecting the safety of the facility, the efficiency of its operation, the ease of its maintenance and the general appearance of the project.

Drawing on our practical experience delivering projects for schools, hospitals, sports facilities and government and commercial buildings, Evolution Projects offers considered solutions that begin with a technical inspection and end with final handover and the required testing.

We work to an integrated execution methodology that includes:

  • Inspection of the condition of the floor and the existing layers.
  • Measurement of moisture and assessment of surface readiness.
  • Treatment of cracks, settlement and defects.
  • Preparation and levelling of the sub-layers.
  • Selection of the system appropriate to the use.
  • Execution of the works in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Quality monitoring during every stage of application.
  • Testing, handover and closing out of observations.
  • Provision of operating, cleaning and maintenance recommendations.

Additional services within flooring systems

Sub-floor preparation & treatment

The quality of any flooring system depends directly on the quality of the base it is installed over. We therefore provide specialist preparation works including removal of old layers, mechanical grinding, sanding, treatment of cracks, injection of voids, and the execution of screed and self-levelling materials. We also measure the moisture of the concrete and test the soundness of the surface before application, to reduce the likelihood of future flaking, blistering or delamination.

Repair & renovation of existing floors

We carry out the repair and refurbishment of floors damaged by intensive use, damp, weakness in the sub-layers or poor previous application. The works begin by identifying the root cause of the problem, then removing the damaged sections, treating the base, and re-executing the necessary layers in a manner consistent with the existing system and the requirements of the site.

Lines, markings & graphics

We provide the execution of pitch lines, traffic routes, safety zones, numbers, logos, and educational and decorative graphics. These are executed using materials compatible with the flooring system to guarantee adhesion and resistance to use and cleaning.

Maintenance & protection

We provide periodic maintenance solutions including deep cleaning, re-application of protective coats, repair of scratches and localised damage, and renewal of the final layers. Regular preventive maintenance helps preserve the general appearance, extend the operational life of the floor and reduce the cost of full replacement.

How we deliver the project

  1. 01

Inspection and technical assessment — our team inspects the site and assesses the condition of the floor, the moisture, the cracks, the levels and the nature of the use, before proposing the appropriate system.

  2. 02

Definition of the system and specification — the system is selected according to the technical, operational and aesthetic requirements, with the appropriate thicknesses, materials, colours and finishes defined.

  3. 03

Preparation of the base — this stage covers removal of weak layers, grinding or sanding, treatment of defects, levelling of the surface and confirmation of its readiness for application.

  4. 04

Supply and execution — approved materials are supplied and the system executed by specialist technical teams, observing the technical instructions and the drying times between layers.

  5. 05

Quality monitoring — thicknesses, material consumption, uniformity, adhesion and the final finish are followed up throughout the stages of execution.

  6. 06

Inspection and handover — once the works are complete the floor is inspected, cleaned and handed over, together with the appropriate instructions for use, cleaning and maintenance.
